CHS Youth Education Programs
Our Paws Club meets weekly at Cache Humane Society throughout the school year. Participants will learn about a variety of pets and how to take care of and interact with them. They will be introduced to opportunities and careers in animal welfare, interact with the shelter animals, do service, arts/crafts, and play games.
Age: 7 to 12 years old at start of semester
Cost : $50 per semester, includes Club T-Shirt
Schedule: 4:30-5:30pm every Monday (except holidays) during the academic semester.
Group size is limited to 10 participants, so early registration is recommended

'Junior Volunteers' is a supervised volunteer group for teens ages 13 to 15. For the first 45 minutes we do chores and various tasks around the shelter. For the remaining 45 minutes the Junior Volunteers help socialize and train shelter animals.
Age: 13 to 15 years old at start of the semester
- Spring (January-May)
- Summer (June-August)
- Fall (August-December)
Cost: $30 per semester, includes Volunteer T-Shirt
Schedule: 4:00 to 5:30pm every Wednesday or Friday (except holidays).
Group size is limited to 10 participants.

Paws & Read is a free activity held on most Tuesdays during the school year. For youth ages 7-12 yrs, and parents are welcome!
We will meet in the main building for all reading. Reading to DOGS takes place in Dog Spot from 4:00 pm to 4:40 pm. Reading to CATS will take place in the Kitty Cabana from 4:50 to 5:30 pm.
Space is limited to 5 youth for dogs and 5 youth for cats. If your child is interested you will need to reserve their spot ahead of time for either DOGS, CATS or both.
Youth will need to bring their own books and plan on reading for 20 minutes.
*Every youth participant will need a parent to sign a youth waiver (waivers will be available to sign at the shelter).
