Summer Off-Leash Youth Camps

 

Looking for something different and exciting to do this summer?  Check out Cache Humane Society’s fun and educational Off-Leash Youth Camps!

 

 

General Animal Camp is designed for children 6-10 years old who are interested in learning more about all companion animals.  Participants will be introduced to basic principles of animal rescue, learn how to safely meet new animals, and make crafts such as toys or treats for the animals.

 

Dates:   June 12-14, 2017, noon until 4PM or

                July 10-12, 2017, noon until 4PM

 

Fee:       $80 for each 3-day program, which includes a daily snack.

Attendees need to bring their own lunch all three days.

There are only 10 spaces available for each 3-day session, so register today!

Dog Camp is designed for children 7-12 years old who are interested in learning more about our canine companions.  Participants will tour the shelter and learn about animal rescue, but with a focus on dogs.  Kids will learn how to be introduced to new dogs safely. 

 

Dates:   June 19-21, 2017, noon until 4PM or

                July 17-19, 2017, noon until 4PM or

                August 7-9, 2017 noon until 4PM

 

Fee:       $80 for each 3-day program, which includes a daily snack.

Attendees need to bring their own lunch all three days.

Cat Camp is designed for children 7-12 who are interested in learning more about our feline companions.  This camp includes a shelter tour, education about animal rescue including trap/neuter/return philosophy for community (feral) cats, and education about proper care for companion cats.  Participants will have opportunities to interact with shelter cats, including grooming and socializing.  Attendees will also make cat toys that help enrich the cats’ shelter experience.

Dates:   August 1-2, 2017, noon until 4PM.

Fee:       $60 for the 2-day program, which includes a daily snack.

Attendees need to bring their own lunch both days.

Overnight Off-Leash Summer Camp

 

Starting Summer 2017, Cache Humane Society will be offering one overnight Off-Leash Summer Camp for individuals 8-12 years old.  Participants will learn about shelter activities and be introduced to the principles of animal welfare.  This will include interaction time with shelter animals, and include crafts such as making dog or cat toys or treats.  Participants will spend the night in the education building on the facility grounds, supervised by the Education Manager and another adult staff member.

 

Date:     June 27, 2017, starting at 5:00PM and ending June 28 at 10:00AM

 

Fee:       $80, which includes a snack

                Attendees should eat dinner before arriving.

                Only 10 spaces are available, so early registration is recommended!

 

Signed parent waivers are required for all educational programs (except tours).
