Meet Your Match:
Here at the CHS animal shelter we use the ASPCA's Meet Your Match evaluation system to categorize our Dogs into specific energy levels (Purple, Orange or Green) and personalities (ie; Busy Bee, Wallflower, Go-Getter etc). We use this MYM system to match the new dog adopters lifestyle with a dog's personality to make a "perfect match". When you look at animals on the adoption page, you will see MYM Type: at the bottom of each entry. If it says Z or has a dot, the animal has not yet been evaluated.
Click HERE to read the MYM Types to help assist you in finding your "Perfect Match"!
Of course, you can also always see the animals in person at our shelter. Some animals are in foster homes. This will be indicated in their description. If you'd like more information about our Foster Pet program, click here.

Foster Homes for Special Pets-In-Need
Special Dog Lovers Are Needed! The Cache Humane Society shelter is in need of foster homes for our special pets-in-need (SPIN) dogs. These wonderful dogs have everything going for them, but are not doing well physically or mentally while at the shelter. For these dogs, being in a shelter is a very stressful situation and their mental and physical state is starting to decline. They are in need of loving care and emotional and physical support. They would need a yard to run and play in that is secure, mental stimulation and exercise, physical comforts plus love and attention. Behavioral modification training may also be needed.
If you would like to receive an application to apply to be a Special Pets-In-Need Foster Home, please email our foster coordinator. If you know of a family member or friend who would be interested in this special foster program, please forward this email to them. Thank you for your time.
